Master Plan
The four major requirements that are the Hospital, the Medical College, Research Centre and the residences of the users are zoned to take the advantage of the site approaches and its immediate surroundings. The ancillary buildings are placed as per functionality and proximity of use.
The Hospital (2000 Bedded Multi-Specialty)
The intention was simple, make a highly functional and efficient hospital nestled in the most diverse natural environment as the local climate would permit. Make way for plentiful glare-free daylight, give visual and where possible, physical access to green pockets. Thus, the 2000 bedded multi specialty hospital was conceived as a monolith from lower ground to 2nd floor with a floor area of 18000 sq ft where common facilities like diagnostic, operation theaters, ICUs, CCIU, administration, registration etc. Beyond 2nd floor, three towers rise up from 3rd floor to 15th floor reaching up to a height of 60M. The towers consist of the departmental OPDs and IPDs. The in-patient department is classified into single-sharing rooms, double sharing rooms and general wards which are distributed according to the requirements of the various departments. The demarcation assisted in gaining a controlled and efficient flow of traffic within the hospital.
